Locked in the body.
Not locked out of the community.
SabrHealth serves Muslims with chronic illness who feel forgotten — because some prisons are not made of bars.
A Message from Ayyub
"I ran for 25 years. Then I stopped. But some prisons are not made of bars… I know. I have PPMS. And I am still here. Still building. Still believing. If you are locked in a body that has betrayed you — you are not forgotten. SabrHealth is for you. We are waiting for you."
— Ayyub
Quran 21:83–84
"And [mention] Ayyub, when he called to his Lord, 'Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the most merciful of the merciful.' So We responded to him and removed what afflicted him of adversity."
Prophet Ayyub (AS) lost his health, his wealth, his children — everything but his faith. For years he was bedridden, abandoned by all but his wife. He never cursed his Lord. He never stopped saying Alhamdulillah. And Allah restored him.
He lost his health. He never lost his faith.
The Third Prison
A letter from Ayyub
"I spent 25 years running from the law. Every day looking over my shoulder. Every night wondering if this would be the night they caught me.
Then I stopped. In 2017, I walked into the US Embassy and turned myself in. I surrendered.
But here is the cruel joke life played on me:
Just as I stopped running from the world, my body started running from me.
A limp. Fatigue that sleep could not fix. My right foot stopped listening.
Then the diagnosis: Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. PPMS.
No remissions. No breaks. Just a slow, steady march toward less of the man I used to be.
I traded one prison for another.
The first prison had bars and razor wire. But I could walk. I could stand for Fajr.
The second prison has no bars. But I cannot walk. I cannot stand for Fajr. I sit in a wheelchair and pray with my eyes, my heart, my tongue.
Some prisons are not made of steel. Some are made of nerves that no longer fire. A body that no longer listens.
But here is what I learned from Prophet Ayyub, peace be upon him:
He lost his health. His wealth. His children. His own people turned their backs. He never cursed his Lord. He never broke.
He said: 'Adversity has touched me, and You are the most merciful of the merciful.'
And Allah responded. Removed what afflicted him. Restored him.
I do not know if Allah will restore my body. That is not for me to decide.
But I know this: I will not curse Him. I will not break. I will say what Ayyub said.
And while I wait — for mercy, for healing, or just for the next day — I will build.
I built Al Ghuraba Group for the stranger behind bars.
Now I am building SabrHealth for the stranger trapped in a body that no longer works.
That includes me.
If you are reading this and your body has betrayed you —
You are not forgotten.
SabrHealth is for you.
We are waiting for you."
